I dug this up on Flicker, some guy had this cake made for his wife, then gave her the actual camera. The cake was made by Granny Schmidt’s bakery in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. I'm hungry!

Unmanned Aerial Photography?

Unmanned Aerial Photography? I wonder why local police, and news outlets don't jump right on this. So much money is spent on the helicopters and manning them, not to mention the impact on the environment you'd think this would be a no-brainer!

A radio-controlled, gyroscope-balanced quadracopter is what builder Anthony Jacobs calls it. This radio-controlled aircraft is able to provide full HD video and still shots, unmanned! Check out the video and check out Anthony's site Perspective Aerials

DIY Ring Flash!

I recently found a tutorial on how to make your own ring flash, so I thought I'd give it shot. Here's how mine turned out:

You'll notice I made a few other modifications to mine. I used the Nikon D300 w/grip and the SB800 flash. I wanted a better way hold the unit so I've mounted everything to a flash bracket. I'm also looking at mounting a second flash off the top of the bracket and have that one pointed down into the top of the dish – for a more even 'ring flash'
